Palmetto Pigskin Preview is in its third season. Created by WPDE Sports Director Rich Chrampanis and his wife Dianne, the free tabloid newspaper is the only place to get comprehensive coverage of local high school football, Coastal Carolina, South Carolina, Clemson and the Carolina Panthers all in one publication.
WPDE's Mark Haggard is a regular contributor each and every week. Coastal Carolina head coach David Bennett contributes a weekly column on his thoughts during the Chanticleers season. There are 15 issues each season beginning in mid-August and running through the high school football state championships in early December.
15,000 copies are printed and available to the public each and every Wednesday during the football season. Palmetto Pigskin Preview is free and can be picked up at participating Sonic and Hooters locations in the Florence/Myrtle Beach area.
